ABOUT THE STRIPLING MIDDLE SCHOOL PTA

The vision of the SMS PTA is to engage, encourage, empower and support the students of Stripling Middle School in Fort Worth, Texas. Our overarching goal is to make every student’s potential a reality. We strive to provide the utmost educational, meaningful, and memorable experience imaginable for all students at Stripling. We do this through a variety of committees, annual events, fundraising and campus improvements. 

The SMS PTA is a member of the National PTA, Texas PTA, and the FWISD Council of PTAs. 

WHO IS IN THE PTA

The SMS PTA is comprised of parents, teachers, administration, grandparents, neighbors and friends of Stripling Middle School. Within our body of dues-paying members, we have an active group of SMS board and committee members who work throughout the year to carry out the mission of the PTA.

how can i become a dues-paying member of the sms pta?

Online membership signup for the 2024-2025 school year opens in August 2024 via JoinPTA.org. Membership is just $10 per person. A $1.50 processing fee is required for online registration. 

Simply becoming a dues-paying member is a meaningful contribution to our community. Questions? Please email us. 

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

We welcome any and all help! Our committees include general fundraising, membership, hospitality, volunteers, communications, Hornet’s Nest, UIL, beautification, teacher  appreciation, special events, Spotlight and many more. 

We have leadership roles, committee  positions, volunteer opportunities and plenty of other ways to help our school. Some of  these roles are long-term, others take less than a day.

When does the sms pta meet?

We have one more meeting for the 2023-2024  school year, and it's on May 1 from 5-6pm in the SMS Library. We'll be voting on the 2024-2025 school year budget.
